Chiara Multiflex is an automatic, numerically controlled grinding and brilliant polishing machine, capable of operating flat edge and arrises on all sides of the glass even out of square (patented system)
Technical features and options
The working cycle is completely automatic: the NC parameterizes the approaching glass, controls the glass transport feed, adjusts for the dimensions and thickness of glass, controls wheels removal rate, feed speed and compensates for wheels wear.
Another advantage of the Chiara Multiflex is the possibility to operate each side of the same piece of glass with a different kind of finish (i.e. one side polished, one side ground, one side arrises only, one side clean score).
- Vetro fuori squadra – Chiara MTP 8 Modular the first machine in which any kind of out of square glass, either with 3, 4, 5 sides are automatically polished.
- Grinding heads – The four grinding heads are mounted on the four controlled axes of the main frame and hold the 8 grinding – polishing wheels. Each single spindle is automatically adjusted according to the glass thickness and wheel wear.
- Wheels composition for each head – 2 diamond wheels and 2 polishing cup wheels for the flat edge, 2 diamond wheels and 2 polishing cup wheels for the arris and, as option,
1 wheel 45° for optional corner dubbing system (limited to angles < 100°). - 2 heads (h1/h2) – Glass is transported with belts to glass zero position (Z1). Once aligned, simultaneously H1 will work the leading edge and H2 the trailing edge, than both heads turn 90° to grind the longitudinal edges. During this process, a second glass can be loaded on the buffer area C2. Each side of the glass can be edged with different finish according to needs.
